Feeling different from those around you can create helpful or unhelpful beliefs that cause resistance or instill motivation to seek help, connect with someone, or even find peace in the present moment.

Unhelpful thoughts that pop into the mind include, “If they heard my story, they would reject me or make assumptions.” Helpful thoughts can be, “I am okay as I am; I am able to express myself.”

The pressure of performing or facing consequences can make it challenging to act toward your goals. Whether you act toward or away from your goals, becoming your authentic self requires transformative treatment.

I understand and appreciate your challenges.

I have had to do the work myself, which is how I live daily. What guides me is “loving my son.” Do I feel like I need a prayer? Or do I need affirmation?

We must practice new thoughts and behaviors to create consistency toward the desired life. I will help you understand family pressure, learn to set boundaries for the first time, experience introspection while assessing the quality of behaviors that align with your values, and what you must do to remedy areas in your life.

Accountability and surrender to inner knowing are abilities of many others you can learn in your success journey.

Think of therapy with me as being like what it would be like to talk to someone who is a nerd about the mind.

We will explore creative journaling and learn to use a journal as a tool to understand the self and maximize the full benefits of each effort toward active change.

I might bring different perspectives to help you learn psychological flexibility and distress tolerance while effectively communicating thoughts and feelings.

Three types of therapy are available.

Individual therapy: The space and opportunity will allow you to feel as if you reconnect mind and body together. Trauma creates a disconnect between mind and body, and then the person functions to survive. By providing therapeutic safety, you can express yourself, begin recognizing and experiencing realizations, and be receptive to receiving knowledge to build confidence in a desired lifestyle based on values and your rights to live. In individual therapy, you will identify what healthy thoughts, feelings, and actions look like.

Teen therapy: While considering the individual therapy mentioned, we can identify healthy expressions of self while exploring rights to boundaries and assertive communication abilities. You can speak your mind freely and find your purpose in this life, stopping the beginning of any potential self-sabotage and people-pleasing behaviors.

Somatic and trauma therapies: We will follow eclectic theories that encompass the ability to process trauma from the body. EMDR skills, tapping, and other grounding skills will be implemented while allowing you to feel during the session and overcome subjective units of distress (SUDS). By including the body in our therapy work, you will ensure a sense of inner peace and develop abilities of self-regulation and relaxation.

Life coaching: Believe it or not, there is work to do once therapy is done! Life coaching will focus on high-performance lifestyles, addressing healthy daily life, focus, and attention, and optimizing your personal and professional success. The most exciting part of life coaching is focusing on success once one has healed trauma.

Blogs: I have decided to share with you information that took me a lifetime to learn. If you are working on your journal, you can easily access information that can be used as prompts or practices of wellness. With my blogs, you can also ask questions and give suggestions of information you would like to see available. Feel free to share with loved ones!
